"A portrait of my husband and our marriage, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Richard: I watch the way he naturally and genuinely interacts with my family and friends. He makes me so proud to be his wife.

We: Another weekend out of town. This time our annual family Christmas weekend in Forster, on the north coast of New South Wales. My entire paternal extended family has been making this trip every year for sixteen years. We spend a weekend together in cabins lined up along the lake. It's very special to us, and it's wonderful to watch this little gang start making their own special memories here too.

  1. What beautiful moments you have captured, just lovely :)

  2. love the regal lake-side gang! x

  3. I think the "where the wild things are" pic is my fave you have ever taken Billy. It so beautiful i would hang it on my wall. xx

  4. It is hard for me to imagine doing the same trip every single year for 16 years. Interestingly, I just read a traveling writing on exactly this: going back to the same place and embracing its magic. And since I am a first time mom I am still looking at everything that involves children with huge eyes. I can see how charming and special these weekends must be for you and your loved ones.
    Your pictures are breath-taking!
